Perfect for birthdays, no matter your age—whether you're celebrating your 1st or your 82nd!
We had the awesome opportunity to collaborate with the Target Creative Team to design a fresh new look for their Birthday Gift Card. The challenge was to create a fun 3D design that still looks great at a small size, while keeping the Target logo in mind. It was such a fun project, and we loved every moment of bringing it to life!
Ideation
We kicked off the project with some sketches to map out the composition, logo placement, and overall shape language. This helped our client get a clear sense of where we were headed before we dove into the final designs
Shape Language
Right from the start, we created shape language and expression sheets to share with the client. This made experimenting with different combinations a breeze.
Color
Given that Target's brand is known for its bold red, we wanted to take the color palette a step further. We thought about the context—like how the card would stand out when customers are walking by—and aimed to create something that really caught the eye.
